From essentially the day he took the reins at Twitter, Elon has been searching for somebody to take the CEO title. It’s a quest that the man himself was unsure would ever be fulfilled, as any new CEO would have to be “foolish” to take the job.

Well, it looks like he’s finally found that fool in Linda Yaccarino.

Let’s break down what you need to know about the new leader of the bird app.

Yaccarino is a veteran of the media game. Prior to taking the Twitter CEO job, she was the chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal, where she led a 2,000-person team (more than Twitter’s entire staff) that generated more than $100B in ad sales since 2011.

And, before that, she was Vice President/COO of advertising sales, marketing, and acquisitions at Turner Broadcasting.

There might not be a more powerful or well-respected person in advertising today.

And that’s a welcome sign for Twitter, which has lost a significant portion of its ad revenue since Elon’s takeover. Considering that ad revenue is Twitter’s lifeblood, it’s not hard to see why Elon chose Yaccarino to take the wheel.

In Elon’s announcement tweet, he mentioned that:

We’ve talked about X before, but the basic idea is that Elon wants to turn Twitter into a place where you can socialize, shop, communicate, bank, etc. Basically, an American version of WeChat.

With a new CEO in place to handle the day-to-day, perhaps Elon can now fully focus on making it happen.

The Big Picture: The hiring of Yaccarino immediately makes Twitter significantly stronger, and lays the groundwork for it’s evolution into X.

ChatGPT is an amazing piece of technology. But it’s not perfect. Among the more prominent of its limitations is that it only knows stuff up to the end of its training data (September 2021). In other words, don’t ask ChatGPT about FTX, SVB, or Super Mario Bros.

The natural remedy for this problem would be enabling ChatGPT to access the internet. That way, it can stay up to date and learn about everything going on in the world in real-time.

With plugins, that is now a reality.

Think of plugins like ChatGPT’s eyes and ears. They allow the AI to take in the world around them, and in the process, improve itself. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities, as seen in the wide range of plugins already available:

Basically, anything you could do on the internet can now theoretically be done by ChatGPT.
