Bring it to me
Gm. I read a crazy article yesterday about people holding up to 8 different āfull-timeā jobs. Iāve never done something like that (Iāve never even had one āfull-timeā job), but have you?
Have you ever held more than 1 full-time jobAnd if so, where? |

A Peek At OpenAIās Roadmap

Big news coming to you from the mouth of Sam Altman.
GPT-5 is in training as we speak. Donāt worry, youāre not dreaming.
Altman was coy about what GPT-5 might look like or when it might come out, these things are hard to predict to be fair, but he did say that GPT-5 will require more data to train than past models.
This would explain why OpenAI is seeking help building AI datasets, and itās definitely why Altman says they are planning and hoping to raise a lot more over time from investors, including Microsoft.
Training our future overlords isnāt cheap, after all.
Besides GPT-5, Altman also:
Reiterated that AGI is the end goal for OpenAI.
Expects the ābrutalā AI chip crunch to ease next year. Maybe Nvidiaās new chips can help out here.
Confirmed that OpenAI is currently unprofitable, but ārevenue growth has been good this yearā.
Letās just hope we donāt have to wait as long from the end of training to release for GPT-5 as we did for GPT-4.
The AGI Committee: GPT-5 is another step in the long march toward AGI, which will only be declared complete when OpenAIās six-member board says it is.
