Word on the street is that Mira Murati, OpenAI's former CTO, is gearing up to launch her own AI startup. She's looking to raise a cool $100M right out of the gate.

Murati was the brains behind ChatGPT and DALL-E at OpenAI. Now she's taking that expertise and going solo. Classic Silicon Valley move!

But here's where it gets interesting. Barret Zoph, another OpenAI hotshot who left OpenAI on the same day as Murati in September, might be joining her new venture.

Murati's not the first OpenAI big shot to make this move. After the whole Sam Altman drama, Ilya Sutskever, OpenAI's co-founder and former chief scientist, launched Safe Superintelligence (SSI), raising $1B in funds.

We might be witnessing the birth of the next big tech mafia here - The OpenAI Mafia.

We've got Ilya Sutskever with his billion-dollar baby SSI, Murati cooking up her own AI startup, and who knows how many other OpenAI alums are out there plotting their next big move.

And let's not forget, the OG OpenAI is still in the game with the recent $6.6B raise.
