The Future of personal assistant

So last week, a bunch of leaked internal documents from OpenAI landed thanks to Google's ongoing antitrust drama, and turns out, ChatGPT is about to get way bigger than just a fancy chatbot.

OpenAI's calling it a "super assistant," and the idea is pretty ambitious: they're building ChatGPT to be your go-to interface for literally everything online. Think Siri or Alexa, but smarter, deeper, and way more personal.

The plan, set for the first half of 2025, is to evolve ChatGPT into an assistant that doesn't just answer your questions, it'll actually know you, understand your habits, and proactively tackle tasks across work, home, and everything in between.

Need to book meetings, manage your calendar, or even handle some coding, planning vacations, buying gifts, catching up with friends - it'll do that.

Interestingly, folks even spotted hints of this 'super assistant' during OpenAI’s Codex livestream last month, where a repository named 'openai/superassistant' briefly showed up on screen.

Now they're even investing in hardware, partnering with former Apple design chief Jony Ive’s crew, to roll out physical "AI companion" devices. So things are cooking real good.

The big picture - OpenAI isn't just trying to upgrade how we chat, it's aiming to fundamentally reshape our relationship with technology. OpenAI is positioning their "super assistant" to become an integral layer in daily life, merging digital tasks seamlessly with human habits. If successful, this could completely redefine how we work, communicate, and live, embedding AI deeply into our personal routines and reshaping the entire architecture of our digital lives.

Simple tricks to get a ton of value with minimal effort for work and life.

The Index Card Meal

Deciding what to cook is a daily tax on your brain.

So here’s a stupidly simple hack I came across: write 10 go-to meal combos on index cards for lunches and dinners. That’s it.

Then you cycle Shuffle the cards at the start of the week. Each day, pull the one on top, cook it, and move on.

No decision fatigue. No recipe rabbit holes. No ā€œwhat do I feel like eating tonight?ā€ spiral. And definitely no more Uber Eats or last-minute junk food grabs.

You already have salt, oil, spices. Most ingredients are repeat buys. Over time, you build a tight meal rotation that feels second nature. It saves time, money, and mental energy.

šŸ‘‹ A Quick Note About Micro

Micro is a CRM that doesn't feel like homework and an email client that knows what matters. Simply put, it's an all-in-one productivity tool that organizes itself so you don't have to.

I built Micro with some friends because I was tired of getting guilt tripped for not hitting inbox 0 and having to bounce around between so many tools to do my job.

That said, Homescreen subscribers can cut the line - go to micro.so/waitlist, join the waitlist, and write in ā€œHomescreenā€ for Other in the ā€œHow did you hear about usā€ question to get early access.
