A few years ago, before I made the hard decision to shut down my last company, a friend asked me: ‘what would Elon do?’

That question has guided most of my operating since then and has led to the most productive years of my career.

Marc Andreessen breaks down in this video why that mindset matters and how Elon runs multiple companies by staying the lead problem solver.

👀 This guy used n8n to curate non-scary audiobooks for his kid

His child loves audiobooks, especially if dinosaurs show up. But ghost stories? Too scary.

The issue: he had 200+ Paw Patrol audiobooks stored in Audiobookshelf, and no way to know which ones had dinosaurs and which ones had ghosts. He definitely wasn’t going to sit and listen to them all.

So he built a system.

  • Using the Audiobookshelf API, n8n pulls in each audiobook.

  • A local Whisper instance transcribes the audio.

  • The transcripts go to an LLM, which spits out a short plot description and tags like “dinosaurs” or “scary.”

  • The workflow then hides the scary stuff from his child’s account, and highlights the dinosaur-tagged ones.

The automation runs through three n8n workflows:

  1. Collector – grabs all unprocessed audiobooks.

  2. Worker – does the transcription, description, tagging, and saving.

  3. Error Handler – catches problems if the worker stalls.

The result: his kid now sees only the fun dinosaur adventures in their library, zero ghost stories.

It was his first real n8n project. It solved a real problem. And it gave him the most important win: peace of mind and a happier kid.

Custom Voice Shortcuts on iPhone
Set a custom iPhone voice command so saying “Screenshot remind me” auto-captures your screen, asks for a reminder time, and files it in Reminders with the image attached, perfect for saving info mid-meeting or while multitasking. It can be for literally anything, like “open YouTube” or “log today’s workout.”

Warm Pipeline Pulse
Spend one hour at month’s end reviving warm threads, VCs you pitched, founders you vibed with, ghosted clients. Share a quick update or useful resource. Momentum dies in silence; keeping threads alive compounds serendipity.
