The Great AI Art
Last week, OpenAI dropped a new AI image-generation feature inside ChatGPT. Within hours, social media was flooded with AI-made images - especially anime-style portraits mimicking Studio Ghibliās iconic look. Even Sam Altman joined in, swapping his profile pic for a Ghibli-style version of himself.

Then things spiraled. OpenAIās servers got hammered so hard that Sam said their GPUs were āmelting.ā
Meanwhile, the legal debate kicked off. Lawyers pointed out that Studio Ghibli might have grounds to sue under the Lanham Act, arguing OpenAI was profiting off its distinct artistic identity without permission.
OpenAI scrambled to adjust. It quietly started blocking requests for Ghibli-style images.

By the end of the week, OpenAI introduced temporary rate limits on image generation in ChatGPT, citing high demand and GPU strain.
it's super fun seeing people love images in chatgpt.
but our GPUs are melting.
we are going to temporarily introduce some rate limits while we work on making it more efficient. hopefully won't be long!
chatgpt free tier will get 3 generations per day soon.

The big picture - AI image generation is at a crossroads. Itās not just a scaling issue - itās about creativity, ownership, and ethics. Who controls the tools? Who owns the output? And how do we balance open access with responsible use? These arenāt just technical problems. Theyāre shaping the future of art, media, and digital expression.

The Seinfeld Strategy
You know Jerry Seinfeld, right? Dude's a machine. His secret wasn't some crazy productivity stack; it was dead simple. He called it "Don't Break the Chain."
Pick one core thing you need to do daily. Could be shipping a small code commit, writing one investor update draft, sending five cold outreach emails ā whatever moves the needle.
Pick one core thing you need to nail daily. Could be anything at work, a 30-min walk, reading 10 pages, dinner prep in the morning, or even just clearing your workspace before clocking off. Just find your consistent needle-mover.
Get a big, dumb wall calendar. For every day you nail that task, slap a big red 'X' on it.
That's it. Your only job becomes: Don't Break The Chain.
It's psychology. Seeing that chain builds momentum. It bypasses the need for motivation because the goal shifts from "doing the big thing" to simply "not breaking the chain today." Small, consistent wins compound like crazy over time.
Forget moonshots for a sec. Focus on the daily reps. Pick your one thing. Start your chain. Don't break it. Simple leverage, massive results.

š A Quick Note About Micro
Micro is a CRM that doesn't feel like homework and an email client that knows what matters. Simply put, it's an all-in-one productivity tool that organizes itself so you don't have to.
I built Micro with some friends because I was tired of getting guilt tripped for not hitting inbox 0 and having to bounce around between so many tools to do my job.
