Fire Up The Rocket Ships

On Monday, I polled you all on what you think bitcoin’s price will be on New Year’s. Usually, you all don’t get to see the results until the following Monday, but this is a special situation:

I thought my ranges were pretty reasonable, but there’s a reason I’m a writer and not a trader. Because as I type this, one bitcoin is worth 44,000 United States Dollars. For context, when I wrote that poll, bitcoin was hovering around $39,000.

Maybe I should run that poll more often.

But it’s not just bitcoin that’s ripping right now. As is so often the case in crypto, when bitcoin rips, everything rips:

ETH is at $2275, up 20% in the last month.
SOL is at $64, up 60% in the last month.
Random bitcoin meme coin ORDI is at $57, up more than 700% in the last month.

I don’t know if this is the beginning of a bull run, but it sure feels like it. The cancers of last cycle have been incinerated. Interest rates seem bound to go down soon. The largest asset manager in the world is actively pursuing a bitcoin ETF. The bitcoin halving is 132 days away. Crypto Twitter is alive again. My friends are reviving our 2021 group chats. And the tech has monumentally improved over the last week.

Is that light I finally see?

Patience Rewarded: For those of us who stuck with crypto through the bear market, it appears our reward might FINALLY be around the corner. Hopefully. Remember, I’m a bad trader.
